Optimalisasi Bank Sampah Sebagai Upaya Penguatan Ekonomi Sirkular di Desa Waru
Abstract
Abstract: Household waste management in Waru Village is still dominated by conventional practices without sorting, so it has the potential to cause environmental problems and has not been used as a source of economic value. This community service activity aims to optimize waste banks as an instrument for implementing the circular economy at the household level. The method used is a participatory approach with a quantitative descriptive design through socialization, training, and mentoring to farmer group mothers, as well as evaluation using pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results of the activity showed an increase in community capacity in all variables measured, with an average score increasing from 3.67 to 4.19 or by 14.2%. The highest increase occurred in the aspect of perception and impact of the program, while behavior changes showed a tendency to increase gradually. In addition, this activity also encouraged the formation of more structured waste bank management at the group level. These findings show that participatory approaches are effective in driving changes in waste management understanding and practices, as well as supporting the implementation of a household-based circular economy.
